Eldy Association

Eldy Association is a nonprofit organization that promotes social inclusion, active aging, health and intergenerational solidarity with older people 50 years through the use of technology.

His work focuses on a wide range of actions and policy areas that affect older people, retired and disabled combining the use of easily accessible human support technology.

Eldy was created in 2006 after an international debate on how to improve the quality of life through ethical use of IT. Eldy has a staff of 10 people and 250 active volunteers.

Based in Vicenza, NGOs make Eldy Eldy platform, Free software package to help older people to use the computer and surf the internet (free www.eldy.eu).

Eldy works daily with public administration (Ministry of Social Welfare, Regione Lombardia, The Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, and several provinces in Italy and worldwide projects in training (4.000 people have been trained), intergenerational projects (10.000 students have been taught technology Eldy seniors ), well as social proyecectos online and offline support (but 400.000 users are already in the platform Eldy).
